125mm Insulation Types

If you’re planning on installing 125mm insulation in your home, there are several types to choose from. These include Celotex XR4125 and Xtratherm Thin-R XT/PR. These boards provide excellent thermal performance, are lightweight and durable, and can be installed in a variety of applications.

Xtratherm Thin-R XT/PR 125mm

Xtratherm is a world leading manufacturer of thermal insulation, providing complete solutions for the construction industry. Their range of high-performance materials comes in a range of thicknesses to meet the needs of every project. Choosing the right thickness for your project will ensure the most effective thermal performance, keeping you comfortable in both winter and summer.

Xtratherm FR/ALU insulation board consists of a PIR-treated polyisocyanurate core and a composite foil facing. The board is suitable for use on internal walls, sloped roofs, ceilings and mechanically fixed waterproofing systems. The board has a U-value of 0.022W/mK, making it a high-performance thermal insulation product.

HYF is the most efficient way to insulate floors, thanks to its thermal properties and strength. It can reach high performance U-Values required by Building Regulations. The product can also reduce thermal bridging and provide a seamless layer of insulation.

Kingspan TP10

Kingspan TP10 125mm insulation is a rigid thermoset insulation, designed to be used in warm, pitched roof spaces. It offers high thermal efficiency with low thermal conductivity, and is easy to install. It’s also water-vapour resistant and meets building regulations and standards for safety.

This insulation board features a polyisocyanurate PIR core for high-performance. It’s suitable for pitched roofs, and is available in a variety of thicknesses to suit the needs of various construction projects. It’s also available in low-emissivity foil facings, so it’s ideal for use in floor and wall applications.

Kingspan PIR TP10 boards are highly effective at reducing energy bills. They have a thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/mK, second only to phenolic insulation. They are also resistant to water vapour passage and air infiltration, two factors that can reduce the efficiency of other forms of insulation. These properties make Kingspan TP10 insulation an excellent choice for both homes and offices.

Kingspan TP10 is suitable for both unventilated and ventilated pitched roofs. Because it blocks water vapour, it’s a popular choice among architects, tradespeople, and do-it-yourselfers. It’s also available in 25mm and 100mm varieties.

Celotex XR4125

The Celotex XR4125 insulating board is designed to provide a high thermal barrier for external walls of buildings. Its lightweight and rigid design makes it easy to fit and handle. It meets the requirements of national Building Regulations. The product also achieves an A+ rating when compared to BRE Green Guide 2008 standards.

Celotex, a Delaware corporation, began manufacturing and distributing building products in the early twentieth century. Today, the company does business under several names, including Jim Walter, Saint-Gobain, and Celotex in the United Kingdom. The asbestos fiber used in their products was mined by a subsidiary company called Carey-Canada Inc. The mine closed in 1986. The company completed a financial reorganization on 9 December 1996.

Before applying Celotex to a wall, make sure it is thoroughly dry. Then, apply plaster. Use a quick-setting plaster. Do not mix lime and Gypsum plasters. After that, apply the second coat of Celotex to the wall.

Celotex XR4125 insulating board offers excellent thermal performance. Its low emissivity foil facing reduces thermal conductivity, allowing the user to achieve target U-values with less thickness. It is available in a range of thicknesses ranging from 110mm to 200mm. It is ideal for wall and floor insulation applications. It has been assessed for compliance with Building Regulations and is CE marked.

Celotex is a leading manufacturer of PIR insulating boards. They are renowned for their outstanding performance and innovation. They provide thermal and acoustic insulation for buildings. This insulating board is designed to minimise heat loss while ensuring maximum energy efficiency.

Celotex XR4125 insulating board is made from rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR). It is easy to handle, transport, and install. It has been assessed by the BBA. It can be used for walls, ceilings, floors, and pitched roofs. And it is eco-friendly, with zero ozone depletion and zero global warming potential.

The company claims that the material is free of asbestos. However, it is not clear whether this material contains the mineral wool. The product may have been produced before the fire safety regulations were introduced. The company does not provide a smoke index rating for this product. For that reason, we suggest doing your research.
