Thermal plasterboard can help make your home more energy-efficient in an easy and cost-effective manner. Insulated with expanded polystyrene foam insulation, it can lower heating bills while simultaneously improving comfort levels in the home.
Gyproc wallboard factory-bonded to an insulating layer made from CFC/HCFC-free polystyrene insulation offers an outstanding U-value of 0.38 W/mK, making it suitable for refurbishment as well as new-build applications.
Gyproc Thermaline Basic
Gyproc Thermaline Basic from British Gypsum is an insulated plasterboard ideal for both new build and refurbishment projects, which require basic thermal insulation. With its foam backing board that helps keep rooms at an ideal temperature while saving energy and cutting heating bills; additionally, the vapour control layer prevents condensation that damages walls or creates an unhealthy environment.
Gyproc wallboard is factory-bonded to an expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation sheet which is both CFC- and HCFC-free, thus having zero ODP (Ozone Depleting Potential) and low GWP (Global Warming Potential). As such, it can be used in refurbishment or new-build projects for interior wall lining on internal walls, ceilings and reveals.
This insulated plasterboard can be fixed using either drywall adhesive or Gyproc sealant, making it suitable for use in both stud and frame wall lining systems. When combined with cavity insulation injection to upgrade solid brick or brick/high density block cavity walls’ U values. With its tapered edge design it can also be used directly as decoration or for plaster finishes and meets Approved Document B requirements for fire performance; moreover it has earned itself an “Excellent” rating from British Standards Institute ensuring it was responsibly sourced.
Knauf Thermal Laminate
Knauf Thermal Laminate consists of an extruded polystyrene insulation layer made with CFC/HCFC free extruded polystyrene insulation bonded to 9.5mm Knauf wallboard for maximum thermal performance (Thermal Conductivity of 0.38W/mK), ideal for new construction and refurbishment projects alike. Furthermore, this product contributes to fire and acoustic safety as well as being suitable for timber frame stud walls.
Insulated plasterboard offers an effective and simple solution to meet Building Regulation requirements for both walls and room-in-roof applications in new builds or refurbishments, helping reduce carbon emissions and energy expenditure while providing quick payback periods.
Drylining and insulation products combine the effectiveness of both processes into one convenient product, saving installers both time and costs during their installations. Installers can line walls and install roofs simultaneously allowing for faster builds with lower costs overall.
Knauf Insulating Laminates stand apart from their competition by being produced using an eco-friendly production process that doesn’t deplete ozone or cause global warming, making them suitable for projects dedicated to environmental preservation. Their insulation materials also contain no CFCs and HCFCs and have zero ODP and low GWP emissions levels; making them perfect for new or refurbishment projects that contribute towards decreasing carbon dioxide emissions.
Warmline EPS
Warmline EPS is a thermal plasterboard constructed with expanded polystyrene insulation bonded to 9.5mm-thick gypsum wallboard for enhanced thermal efficiency in walls and roof applications, complying fully with Part L building regulations. This thermal insulating laminate provides an efficient means of improving thermal performance within these applications while remaining cost-effective and easy to use.
Easy and cost-effective energy saving technology designed for new builds or refurbishment projects alike, the system saves energy, cuts carbon emissions, cuts household bills and extends building lifespan. Plus it’s non-hygroscopic and rot proof made from eco-friendly materials with no CFCs or HCFCs used!
Insulated plasterboard is suitable for both domestic and commercial applications, including walls, floors, ceilings and lofts. Additionally it can also be used to line cavity voids in system-built, timber and masonry-built properties.
Warmline EPS panels can be attached to walls using a proprietary gypsum-based adhesive and once dried can be secured using 150mm spacing drywall screws with minimum 30mm penetration into masonry material. They may also be attached using bridge pieces.
