Kingspan cavity insulation provides thermal resistance in walls. Available in multiple thicknesses and easily cut to fit around awkward details, it is lightweight and easy to handle.
This 90mm premium performance lower lambda insulation features a fibre free rigid thermoset phenolic core with low emissivity composite foil facing on its inner face, and an outer water-tight vapour-open polypropylene fleece covering for moisture resistance.
K108 Partial Fill Phenolic Cavity Board
The K108 partial fill insulation features a fibre free thermoset phenolic foam core for ultimate performance, meeting NHBC technical requirements for half-filled cavity wall insulation and offering ultra low thermal conductivity to maximize usable interior floor space. On both sides it features low emissivity foil which significantly increases thermal resistance; moisture penetration resistance, clear cavities and unaffected by air infiltration are other notable characteristics of this premium performance partial fill product.
Phenolic insulation boasts low global warming potential and no ozone depletion potential, making it an eco-friendly choice. Furthermore, their lightweight nature makes them easy to transport, handle and install.
These boards are produced through a process which uses rigid thermoset foam as an insulating core between polypropylene fleece and foil facings, then cooked under pressure before curing and hardening for hardening and hardening to produce a finished product. Their insulation is unaffected by moisture or groundwater exposure for maximum service life even under rainwater exposure.
K118 External Wall Insulation Board
K118 is an award-winning, fibre-free rigid thermoset phenolic insulation product with an extremely low thermal conductivity of just 0.19 W/mK that makes for thin wall constructions to maximize lettable space. Mechanical fixing makes installation simple; ideal for use in timber frame structures and dry masonry walls with existing lining. Its mechanical fixation enables use in timber frame constructions or dry masonry walls with an existing lining lining, K118 provides mechanically fixed insulation with maximum lettable space potential.
This product is manufactured using a blowing agent with zero ODP and minimal GWP, making it an eco-friendly solution for your building project. Additionally, it stands up well to short-term exposure to petrol as well as dilute acids, alkalis, and mineral oils.
Kingspan insulation products are highly durable, resistant to water vapour penetration and the most moisture resistant on the market, making it perfect for green home or sustainable renovation projects. Available in thicknesses ranging from 12mm to 50mm for your project needs – as well as Celotex Basic and Thermaline ranges!
K5 External Wall Insulation Board
K5 external insulation is designed to insulate masonry walls and can be installed behind traditional or lightweight polymer modified renders. Featuring premium performance lower lambda insulation properties such as its rigid thermoset fibre free phenolic foam core with glass tissue facings bonded onto both sides during manufacturing, K5 offers maximum energy-savings with every installation.
It meets NHBC technical requirements and features an extremely low thermal conductivity of just 0.018 W/mK to help limit thermal bridging, reduce insulation thickness usage in construction projects, increase living space within properties and prevent moisture penetration.
phenolic insulation features an inert gas fill that makes it highly resistant to damage caused by moisture or groundwater, making it suitable for new builds and extensions, helping prevent ingress of moisture that could potentially lead to problems like mould growth.
These 1200mm x 600mm boards are easy to handle and install. Protected in plastic for storage purposes, they can be cut with either a fine tooth saw or Stanley knife.
K108 Kooltherm Cavity Board
Kingspan Kooltherm K108 is an advanced partial-fill phenolic insulation board designed to reduce thermal bridging and uncontrolled air leakage through junctions in cavity wall constructions. Featuring a premium performance rigid thermoset phenolic core and featuring low emissivity composite foil facings that adhere autohesively to it, the insulation board significantly enhances thermal resistance while meeting National Home Builder Council (NHBC) technical requirements for 50mm cavity wall cavities.
As this product was made to order or is made-to-measure for hygiene reasons, its return cannot be accepted. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Installers need a jig to ensure a successful installation, ensuring the faces of the insulation board are square to each other and accurate trimming is crucial in creating close butting joints and avoiding thermal bridging with walls. Wall ties should also be placed at regular horizontal centres; additional ones should be positioned for all openings if necessary.
