Kingspan Insulation 40mm – Which Kingspan Insulation is Right For Your Project?

If you’re building a new home, selecting the appropriate insulation product from Kingspan can ensure the optimal performance of your project. Their products have been specifically tailored to specific applications for maximum effectiveness.

K107 insulation is an eco-friendly choice that features a fibre-free thermoset phenolic core with low-emissivity composite foil facing. Made with an EcoBlowing agent with zero ODP and low GWP values, making this insulation product suitable for residential environments.

ThermaWall TW55 PIR

This insulated wall board is tailored for timber and steel framing walls, featuring a high performance rigid thermoset polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation core that features low emissivity composite foil facings attached autohesively during manufacturing with autohesive bonding technology, autohesively bonding to both sides for autohesive bonding with autohesive bonding technology during autoclaving, for autohesive bonding of autohesively bonded to its core for optimal thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/mK.

ThermaWall PIR insulation boards are an excellent way to insulate new builds or refurbishments with ease, being both cuttable and easily handled – they can also be installed using mechanical fixings or adhesives for installation.

Niflam technology makes these insulated wall boards highly fire-resistant, outperforming constructions utilizing non-combustible synthetic mineral fibre insulation in many instances.

ThermaWall PIR insulation is made using blowing agents with zero Ozone Depletion Potential and low Global Warming Potential in accordance with draft BS 4841-1 requirements, making its manufacture both environmentally and socially friendly. Furthermore, once its life cycle has come to an end, ThermaWall PIR can even be recycled – contributing towards creating a more sustainable future.

ThermaWall TW50

The ThermaWall TW50 insulation board is an advanced fibre free rigid thermoset polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board designed for partial fill cavity walls. Bound on both sides by low emissivity composite foil facings which increase thermal resistance significantly and which are autohesively adhered during manufacturing, this board offers excellent thermal performance in partial fill applications.

The TW50 insulation board boasts a declared lambda value of 0.022 W/mK and is rot-proof, stable, and water vapour resistant. Easy to cut and install quickly and effortlessly, the TW50 meets NHBC technical requirements when used in conjunction with 50mm residual cavities.

As this product is not waterproof, it should only be installed where there will be no risk of moisture penetration. When possible, insulation boards should remain indoors; in case this cannot be avoided they must be covered with an opaque polythene sheet or weatherproof tarpaulin to provide some weather protection.

Kooltherm K103

Kingspan products make an excellent choice for floor insulation, being easy to install and available in various sizes and thicknesses to meet all of your insulation needs. Check the bulk buy page as there may be special offers on this insulation material!

The K103 insulation board is a premium performance lower lambda board constructed using a fibre free rigid thermoset phenolic insulant core that features autohesively-bonded glass tissue-based facing on both sides. Manufactured using an environmentally friendly blowing agent with zero ODP and low GWP emissions.

Insulation boards can be used for many different floor constructions, including concrete ground-based floors, underfloor joist insulation and upgrading timber floor slabs. They’re particularly ideal for new-build properties as it enables existing headroom to remain unchanged while significantly decreasing heat loss and energy waste.

Kooltherm K107

K107 Kingspan phenolic insulation product is produced similarly to PIR in that it consists of an insulating core composed of wet phenolic foam that is then dried and adhered to foil facing, producing different thicknesses and U values as a result of drying processes. Furthermore, low-emissivity composite foil faces may also be applied on top for maximum target U-value performance with reduced thickness insulation materials.

K107 insulation material is specifically designed to insulate warm roof spaces on both ventilated and unventilated pitched roofs, under tiles or slates. Its durable design does not allow air infiltration.

K107 insulation comes in various thicknesses and can be cut with either a hand saw or scissors, however we recommend using a fine toothed saw for accurate cuts with close butting joints. Please take all safety measures when handling or installing insulation material.
