Knauf XPS Laminate Plus

Knauf xps laminate plus is an insulated plasterboard offering an effective solution to meet both dry construction and building regulations. Offering exceptional value with easy installation, it helps lower energy costs while helping reduce energy expenses.

This CFC and HCFC-free product consists of an extruded polystyrene layer bonded to 9.5mm Knauf wallboard for enhanced thermal performance and vapour resistance as well as reduced CO2 emissions and energy expenditure, providing short payback periods.

CFC & HCFC Free

Knauf Insulating Laminates provide a simple and cost-effective way to save energy instantly while optimizing room space. Their range of thermal values make them suitable for meeting Building Regulations on walls and room-in-roof situations in refurbishment and new build projects alike, whil Knauf XPS boasts CFC/HCFC free closed cell insulation which prevents water ingress – an ideal insulated plasterboard option that works well with either solid wall construction or cavity wall construction projects.

XPS laminate plus is constructed of extruded polystyrene laminate bonded to 9.5mm Knauf wallboard and offers enhanced thermal performance with its thermal conductivity rating of 0.33W/mK. In addition, its vapour resistance and compressive strength allows it to withstand short and long-term loading conditions.

Knauf xps laminate plus is a cost-effective solution for energy efficiency in new build and refurbishment projects, providing reduced CO2 emissions and energy expenditure while offering quick payback periods when compared with traditional dry-lining methods.

Water Resistant

XPS Insulated Plasterboard features an additive that prevents moisture build-up in its core, making it perfect for kitchens, bathrooms and other internal areas with high humidity levels. Furthermore, its lightweight yet strong construction makes cutting using scoring and snapping techniques straightforward and effortless.

The laminate plus is comprised of an extruded polystyrene layer that is CFC and HCFC free, and adhered to 9.5mm Knauf wallboard, offering enhanced thermal performance with its Low Thermal Conductivity Value (0.033W/mK). This material makes an excellent choice for new builds or renovation projects requiring energy savings while maximising space savings.

Closed cell XPS foam insulation is moisture resistant and boasts excellent compressive strength, making it suitable for underfloor heating systems, below-ground floor slabs, outside of basement structures and warm flat roofs such as green/blue roofs/car park decks. Manufactured in the UK using blowing agents with zero global warming potential or ozone depletion potential is available here.

Easy to Install

Knauf XPS Laminate Plus provides an efficient way to meet insulation requirements of building regulations while still optimizing room space. As a combination of drylining and insulation, this laminate provides outstanding thermal performance at reduced thickness; restricting heat loss. In addition, this insulating laminate helps lower CO2 emissions through decreased energy expenditure with a quick payback period.

Installation is quick and effortless, saving both time and money with its straightforward approach to installation. Made from water-resistant plasterboard and extruded polystyrene layers to avoid condensation or mould growth, the tiled board is particularly effective at protecting bathrooms, kitchens and other environments with moisture present – particularly useful in areas like bathrooms or kitchens where humidity may exist.

Refurbishment and new build projects benefit greatly from using insulation materials like spray foam to achieve instant energy savings and optimize space use. You can combine it with other insulation products, like mineral wool or fibreglass insulation materials, for increased thermal values.

Reduces CO2 Emissions

Knauf’s XPS Thermal Laminate plus range has been created to optimize the thermal performance of walls and room-in-roof situations in both new build and refurbishment projects. It provides efficient ways of realizing instant energy savings while increasing potential space utilization; additionally it helps meet Building Regulation requirements with short payback periods.

Transportation and logistics account for around 10% of a product’s embodied carbon. Julian Fassin, business process officer – order fulfilment at Knauf Insulation is currently working on a project to reduce these emissions by reviewing and optimizing Knauf’s distribution methods.

Knauf Insulation estimates it can reduce its distribution truck miles by 30% with products packed more closely together in each truck and using low emission engines, cutting CO2 emissions by around 20% in turn. Furthermore, recycling glass for insulation production requires significantly less energy consumption and produces much less methane gas emission as compared with manufacturing from raw material sources.
