Dritherm 32 is a 100mm non-combustible, water-repellent glass mineral wool insulation slab. It’s approved for use in exterior masonry cavity walls, and is rated for up to twelve stories and 25 metres high. It’s also a great choice for multi-level buildings. And it doesn’t cost the earth. Read on to discover why Dritherm 32 is the best choice for your next home insulation project.
Earthwool DriTherm 32 is a non-combustible, water-repellent glass mineral wool insulation slab
The Knauf Earthwool Dritherm 32 is fabricated using the Ecose Technology. The non-combustible, water-repellent glass mineral wool is designed for thermal insulation in external masonry cavities. The slab is 455mm wide and designed to fit standard vertical wall tie spacing. It is rot proof, non-hygroscopic and fire-resistant.
Knauf Earthwool DriTherm 32 is an ideal choice for insulating the cavity wall of a building. It is available in two sizes: Ultimate 32 and Standard 37. The Earthwool DriTherm 32 is available in six-square-meter slabs for a total area of 3.28m2.
Knauf Insulations’ ECOSE technology binds the glass mineral wool and rock mineral wool products with no added formaldehyde. It is also more energy-efficient than other types of insulation. It does not emit formaldehyde and produces very low levels of dust. It is comfortable to handle, easy to install and cut, and recyclable polythene packs are used for protection.
The Knauf Dritherm Cavity Slab is also a great option for cavity walls. Made with innovative ECOSE technology, this glass mineral wool insulation slab reduces heat loss in a building by 75%. Knauf’s Dritherm 32 is also classified as having zero Global Warming Potential, meaning it’s better for the environment and your wallet!
This non-combustible, water-resistant glass mineral wool insulation slab is the first choice for buildings in the U.S. and Canada. It is available in slab shapes up to 25mm in thickness and is suitable for walls, ceilings, and floors. Its patented FlexiSlab edges also make it easier to install.
It is a semi-rigid insulation
The Knauf Dritherm 32 is a non-combustible, insulating glass mineral wool slab for external cavity walls. It’s designed for use in multi-storey buildings up to 25m high and is non-combustible. It’s made with Knauf ECOSE Technology, which uses rapidly renewable bio-based materials and uses 70% less energy than traditional binders.
The Knauf Dritherm 32 is a water-repellent glass mineral wool slab for external masonry cavity walls. The Dritherm 32 slab is 455mm wide and is compatible with standard vertical wall tie spacings. It’s also easy to install, and is BBA-certified. It can be used in single-story buildings up to 12m high, and in multi-storey buildings up to 25m high.
It is less thermally efficient than DriTherm 37
Earthwool DriTherm 37 is less thermally efficient than DriThelm 32. The former is a semi-rigid insulating material made of non-combustible glass mineral wool and is 455mm wide. The latter is made with Knauf ECOSE Technology, which is 70% less energy-intensive than conventional binders. Earthwool DriTherm 37 is suitable for buildings up to 12m in height and is fire-rated A1 on the Euroclass scale. Like the former, DriThelm 32 is also water-repellent and is manufactured to BS EN 13162 standards.
The DriTherm 32 is less thermally efficient than the DriTherm 37, but it is still suitable for use in cavity walls. This material is 0.032 W/mK, which is less than half of the thermal conductivity of normal fibreglass slabs. In addition to being thermally efficient, DriTherm 32 is also more environmentally-friendly than standard fibreglass slabs.
