Insulating Plastic Sheet

Applying an insulating plastic sheet over window glass reduces heat transference through it and ultimately lowers energy consumption and fuel costs.

Installing plastic insulation sheets should be relatively straightforward. Simply take measurements vertically from a horizontal stud on the floor up to an equivalent horizontal stud nearing the ceiling, using your ruler.

MICA

Mica is an important group of silicate minerals that form sheets or flakes and exhibit flexibility, heat resistance and do not conduct electricity.

Chemical compounds come in various colors that depend on their chemical makeup; from yellow, to brown, red and green hues.

Mica minerals are used to produce mica powders, which can then be milled into fine glitter that serves as both coloring agent and shimmery finish for soaps and cosmetics.

MYLAR

Mylar film is an extremely popular biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate (BOPET) film used across several industries due to its exceptional properties such as high tensile strength, chemical and dimensional stability, transparency, reflectivity, gas and aroma barrier properties and electrical insulation properties.

Flexible packaging bags made of this material, such as roasting bags and coffee foil pouches, often utilize its excellent barrier properties which serve to provide moisture and oxygen control – perfect for use in food products!

Nomex

Nomex(r), an aramid fiber material, offers many advantages for various applications and has numerous uses in many fields. Nomex’s high durability ensures it can withstand years of wear and tear without suffering damage to its integrity.

Nomex makes an ideal material for personal protective equipment as its lightweight design provides maximum comfort in harsh environments. Nomex also comes in different shades to meet specific safety standards for workers in hazardous industries.

Presspahn

As well as offering various types of sponge, rubber, and foam materials for electrical insulation applications, we also stock products like Presspahn which is also known in the trade as pressboard, press paper, or elephantide.

Presspahn is an ideal insulating material for transformers with oil-filled transformers, particularly oil-filled ones with low voltage outputs. This tough, flexible material offers reasonable insulation properties while withstanding ageing and moisture conditions to provide good mechanical strength while offering optimal oil penetration. We stock Presspahn here at our facility!

SRBF

Synthetic Resin Bound Fabric, or SRBF, is an electrical insulating material composed of layers of cotton fabric laminated together using high pressure procedures with synthetic phenolic resins to form high strength SRBF sheets.

These materials have applications across automotive and appliance industries as well as general electrical use and lighting applications, providing exceptional electrical and thermal insulation qualities while offering exceptional resistance to water and corrosion effects.

Material has excellent machinability, making it an economical solution for many applications. Temperature resistance of up to 125degC makes this material available in sheets from 0.5mm through to 150mm thicknesses.

Valox

Valox thermoplastic polyester resins are comprised of PBT and/or PET and offer some of the finest features of both plastics, including high heat resistance, chemical resistance and superior electrical properties.

Resins come in various grades tailored specifically for their applications, with properties tailored specifically to them. Common features of performance-matched resins are high flow in thin sections, good surface finish quality and excellent processability. Furthermore, resins like these are suitable for many different applications including manufacturing EMI shields with low moisture absorption rates and strong dielectric strength requirements.

PTFE

PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) plastic sheet insulation material is widely used to produce various products. Due to its non-stick properties, consumers and industrial applications alike enjoy using it regularly.

Aluminum is a highly resilient material, capable of withstanding extreme conditions and temperatures without cracking under pressure. Furthermore, its chemical-resistance makes it an attractive option for many industries.

Materials made with silicone rubber can be found in everyday products like non-stick cookware and seat belt clips, but it has much wider applications. Chemical resistance makes silicone invaluable across multiple industries and manufacturing processes; protecting delicate goods during manufacturing.
