Insulating Wallpaper

Insulating wallpapers are an ideal choice for any room size and surface type, saving energy while combatting condensation and mould growth, reinforcing damaged walls, and making installation an effortless process.

Before hanging lining paper or wallpaper on walls, it is crucial that they are correctly prepared as improper preparation can result in lifting corners and unsightly specks appearing on them.

Insulation

Insulating wallpaper, lining papers and thermal liners are quick and simple ways to help lower heating bills by creating an insulation barrier against heat transfer. Their effectiveness may depend on which product type is selected.

Sempatap Thermal wall insulation is an easy solution that offers maximum warmth without condensation, mould or damp. With an expected life expectancy of 30 years and various colours available for you to choose from, Sempatap Thermal provides an effective means of keeping homes warm while protecting against condensation, mould and damp.

This product uses a thicker 4mm layer of polystyrene foam reinforced by laminated lining paper infused with graphite to make heat transfer 20% less likely through walls and ceilings, helping improve energy efficiency while decreasing carbon emissions in your home, while offering soundproofing properties as well.

Easy to apply

Insulating lining papers offer an easier solution for hanging decorative wallpaper without lifting on its joints, producing a more professional finish and helping ensure an easier installation experience.

Erfurt MAV Neopor Graphite Plus Insulating Lining Paper features 4mm-thick BASF expanded polystyrene insulation that contains graphite particles to increase its insulating properties by up to 20% compared to standard polystyrene insulation, and then laminated onto fibre reinforced pulp lining paper and treated with fire retardant as a cost-effective way of insulating walls quickly and cheaply.

Pasting decorative wall paper onto walls should be carried out using the same methods used for regular wall lining paper applications; using a paste brush with ample adhesive and enough time to ensure there are no bubbles. When dry, this new surface is ready for decoration; we suggest painting or hanging decorative wallpaper directly on top (ensuring your plaster and walls are flat first! ).

Saarpor’s graphite insulation wallpaper harnesses the natural reflectivity of graphite combined with polystyrene cells to produce an energy saving, thermal and sound insulating wallcovering that provides effective energy savings, thermal and sound insulating qualities. Crafted from four millimetres of BASF expandable polystyrene impregnated with graphite particles laminated onto high quality non-woven lining paper for maximum insulation performance, this wallcovering provides up to 20% better insulation performance than standard insulated lining paper equivalent to 26cm of concrete.

This product is designed to reduce condensation, protect against mould growth, and is fire retardant treated. Although direct painting is possible, overlining is recommended for optimal durability and a professional finish. In conjunction with Wallrock Fireliner it can meet Building Regulation requirements by improving fire resistance to BS Class 1.
