Insulation Rubber Tape

Insulation rubber tape is a general-purpose electrical insulation solution that protects and seals wires. Made with vinyl material that offers good abrasion resistance and moisture/corrosive elements resistance, insulation rubber tape can also be color coded to identify cables in your installation.

This product is composed of closed-cell elastomeric foam with a factory-applied pressure sensitive adhesive for secure adhesion and long-term bonding.

Abrasion Resistant

Insulation rubber tapes feature outstanding abrasion resistance, making them suitable for heavy-duty industrial applications. Their excellent flexibility allows them to conform to irregular surfaces without puncturing, tearing or repeated abrasion damage; their puncturing resistance makes them even better at resisting punctures, tears and repeated abrasion. Insulation rubber tapes can be used in applications including splicing/terminating electrical wires/termination/isolation protection/moisture control protection while being resistant against puncturing, tearing and repeated abrasion damage; as they offer great abrasion resistance making them suitable for such duties as splice/terminations/insulation protection of electrical wires/isolation/moise protection as well as providing moisture protection/moise protection for moisture protection/moise protection; good flexibility makes conformance to irregular surfaces while being puncture resistant enough against repeated abrasion damage!

These electrical tapes feature a rubber adhesive that provides excellent adhesion in most weather conditions. They’re resistant to UV rays, moisture, alkalis, acids and corrosion as well as being durable enough to withstand abrasion, impact and cold temperatures without fail.

Vinyl electrical tape is an economical, multipurpose pressure-sensitive tape designed for general purposes that can be used to wrap wires, insulate materials that conduct electricity and make minor repairs. Available in multiple colors for easy identification and color-coding purposes, vinyl electrical tape has excellent elongation properties compatible with extruded dielectric cable insulations as well as being resistant to abrasion, impact and cold temperatures while offering different thicknesses options.

Corrosion Resistant

When dealing with harsh environments, insulation tape must be constructed from materials that can resist corrosion. Electrically insulating tapes made with rubber or thermosetting rubber adhesive are designed to withstand the elements and help guard against rusting, blistering and cracking.

These tapes come in various colors to easily color-code your wires or mark phases for easier identification and reduce confusion. Furthermore, you can wrap these tapes around lugs, bolts and corners to protect them from being punctured by sharp objects.

This self-fusing rubber electrical tape bonds quickly without heat to form a watertight mass for electrical protection, conforming to irregular shapes while remaining flexible enough to withstand expansion & contraction as well as bleach, steam, saltwater, oils & detergents. Perfect for color coding wire splices, connections harness wrapping as well as electrical repairs including radio TV & appliance repairs – as it meets RoHS 2011/65/EU compliance. CSA certified, UL listed and RoHS 2011/65/EU compliant as this premium grade tape with PVC backing that stands up against temperatures ranging between -55 deg F (-48 to 80 deg C), impacts abrasion corrosion as well as impacts impacts abrasion corrosion to help provide complete electrical protection against electrical protection for equipment repair needs. RoHS 2011/65/EU compliant. This premium grade tape features PVC backing that resists bleach, steam & saltwater while being flexible enough to withstand expansion and contraction & is RoHS 2011/65/EU compliant. CSA, UL listed and RoHS 2011/65/EU compliant also meets RoHS 2011/65/EU compliant. CSA Certified, UL listed and RoHS 2011/65/EU compliant RoHS 2011/65/EU compliant! Additionally this premium grade tape can withstand temperatures from -55 to 176 deg C with its PVC backing offering temperature range from -48 to 80 deg C while resisting impact, abrasion corrosion.

Heat Resistant

Insulation rubber tape provides protection from the heat generated by electrical wires. Depending on its type, insulation rubber tape can reflect heat radiation away from workers while wiring and assembly crews work, helping prevent hands from burning during assembly processes. Furthermore, its material resists continuous heating caused by industrial environments where cables may be exposed to high temperatures.

Ethylene propylene and silicone rubber electrical tapes are often the first choice of electricians when it comes to medium and high voltage applications, due to their excellent dielectric ratings that help eliminate voids that could potentially lead to catastrophic failures. They are used both as primary insulation as well as repair patches on damaged wires or cables or bundling and sealing services.

Fiberglass woven tapes feature a non-combustible fiberglass base and may be treated with vermiculite dispersant for extra abrasion resistance, making these ideal for protecting industrial wires, cables, hoses, tubing and pipe from thermal insulation, energy savings and personnel safety.

Environmentally Resistant

Insulation rubber tapes can be fabricated from different materials. Cloth and fabric tapes utilize cotton, polyester, rayon or acetate weaved together with acrylic or rubber adhesives; while foam carriers and insulation tapes feature flexible yet resilient elastomeric foam insulation. Foam carriers contain pockets of air trapped within natural or synthetic polyurethane (Poron), neoprene, EPDM rubber or vinyl substrates.

These versatile cellular materials are compressible yet resilient, offering superior electrical properties with superior resistance to impact, cutting and abrasion as well as moisture protection. Furthermore, their corrosion-resistance surpasses many other forms of wire and cable insulation insulation.

Cambric tape is an example of cloth-backed, rubber-insulated electrical tape. When applied with adhesive facing upwards, it covers exposed lugs, bolts and corners to prevent puncture damage and moisture intrusion. 3M electrical tape offers premium all-weather colored electrical tape suitable for color coding phase identification as well as insulating motor leads or piping systems – and stands up well to UV rays, moisture alkalis solvents and acids as well.
