Isover 200mm Loft Insulation

If you want to reduce the costs associated with energy bills, loft insulation could help. The government recommends using mineral wool at 270mm depth. Furthermore, this insulation can also help regulate temperature within your home.

Insulation made of noncombustible green material will protect your roof against heat loss while also stopping heat escaping through its ceiling and helping you maintain a comfortable temperature in your house.

Easy to install

Isover Spacesaver Loft Roll is an easy-to-install glass mineral wool insulation ideal for cold roof constructions in new build and renovation projects. For optimal installation results, two layers should be laid – with one laid between joists and the other cross laid over them – but remember this insulation will only take seconds per layer!

This loft roll meets Euroclass A1 criteria according to EN 13501-1 for its resistance to fire, being both odourless and non-toxic, making it suitable for use with non-combustible downlight covers that further decrease fire risk.

Product is supplied in longer roll lengths to expedite installation and increase efficiency, and moisture-resistant to help avoid condensation or dampness in roof areas. Furthermore, its trapping of hot air reduces energy costs associated with heating buildings while cutting carbon emissions and contributing towards global warming prevention.

Recycled

Isover Spacesaver glass mineral wool insulation is an efficient way to reduce energy costs and boost thermal efficiency of properties. Non-combustible and boasting a Euroclass A1 Reaction to Fire rating, the insulation will protect you and your property against potential fire hazards.

Isover loft roll insulation is constructed with premium glass fibre material, making it highly sustainable by reducing waste sent to landfill sites and having no global warming potential or ozone depletion risk, providing an effective means of combatting climate change and other environmental concerns.

Loft insulation comes in short rolls that can easily be handled. Installation in cold roof constructions can be accomplished by placing one layer between joists, then cross laying another layer. This creates an inviting environment while simultaneously improving thermal performance resulting in reduced energy bills. Furthermore, trapping hot air in the home reduces heat loss thus decreasing extra energy use to keep properties warm.

Non-combustible

The isover 200mm Loft Roll has been independently tested and certified as non-combustible, making it an excellent choice for new builds, renovation projects or extensions. It boasts the highest available fire resistance rating of Euroclass A1, along with zero ODP emissions and low global warming potential levels – giving you peace of mind that it won’t deplete ozone layers or contribute to global warming.

Rock mineral wool and glass fibre insulation both work to insulate roofs, with glass fibre typically being the superior choice due to its non-combustibility and R-value between 2.2-2.7 per inch of thickness. Furthermore, installation costs and energy bills will decrease thanks to its affordability and ease of installation.

Installed in two layers, with one running between joists and the second cross-layed over them. It should typically reach at least 270mm deep when laid. Longer rolls can speed up installation as they come pre-perforated at widths to match common joist spacings.

Thermal conductivity

Loft insulation serves a vital purpose: keeping heat inside your home. Properly-insulated homes could save on energy costs; poorly insulated ones lose up to 25% of heat through the roof – installing recommended depth of 270mm loft insulation will prevent this.

Isover Spacesaver insulation is made from glass mineral wool and comes in roll form. Installed at the joist level, it helps meet UK thermal building regulations while boasting a Euroclass A1 fire rating, meaning that its use could help limit flame spread in case of fire.

Made from recycled material with Zero ODP and GWP emissions, it is perfectly suitable for cold loft floors and joists. Installation can be accomplished quickly and is an excellent DIY task; however it should be used carefully to avoid falling. We advise using a sturdy ladder, kneeling on boards rather than standing up during installation to prevent accidents in the loft.
