Plastic insulation fixings are fasteners used to secure various forms of insulation boards or membranes onto walls and ceilings. Constructed of durable plastic material, they’re resistant to corrosion – making them the ideal choice for use across many different environments.
Cold bridging, an issue which causes energy loss in buildings, can be avoided using these solutions.
Anchors
Anchors are devices designed to secure vessels to the seabed and prevent them from being propelled around by wind and currents. Anchors may be temporary – such as those used by boats in shallow water – or permanent, like those tethering oil rigs and other offshore structures.
Anchors can also help protect ships or ports by keeping them stable when docked at a quay; to do this successfully, an anchor must withstand small movements caused by waves without harming the vessel moored there.
Anchors come in all sorts of varieties, but most are designed to keep a ship at anchor for an extended period. This can be accomplished using different techniques – tugs or additional mooring lines are common methods – depending on what kind of vessel needs anchoring.
Clips
Clips are an effective way of keeping insulation materials secure, and preventing them from shifting out of position. Available in various shapes and sizes, some clips have teeth which grip material securely while other versions include barbs that grip it tightly.
Clips are also an effective solution for holding light fittings or hanging decorations, saving both time and effort by eliminating the need for glues, nails or screws – among other sticky substances – to secure these items in place. A well-designed clip can save both effort and time when applied properly; simply click it onto any fixture for secure holding!
Use of appropriate clips is critical to maintaining energy efficiency and acoustic performance in any home or commercial space. For optimal results, plastic insulation fixings made of impact resistant plastic that does not corrode easily should be chosen; these will usually last a long time before needing replacement.

Cork Screws
Cork screws are fasteners designed to work with plastic insulation fixings, and are particularly beneficial when fastening polystyrene or mineral wool insulation products to the base of walls and ceilings.
Cork screw devices come in various materials such as steel and wood. When operating them, these cork screw tools typically feature a perpendicular handle which grips onto the bottle’s neck, with its screw penetrating the cork until fully embedded; then simply pulling back will remove it.
Some corkscrews feature a concave disk at the top of their screw, which restricts how far it can penetrate into cork and helps break any pressure seal to ease pulling action. These devices are often known as rabbit corkscrews.
Classic wine openers like corkscrews can be very effective in opening bottles of wine, however they can sometimes prove challenging when faced with older or stubborn corks that require firm gripping power and may prove difficult to manipulate.
Helix Fixings
Helix fixings are an anchoring system used to secure insulation materials to walls or other surfaces. They’re commonly used with polystyrene and mineral wool products.
These plastic insulation fixings are manufactured from an impact-resistant copolymer material and come in multiple sizes for convenient use in fixing insulation boards to concrete, brick and block surfaces with minimum effort.
These fireproof screws are also available in order to secure external wall insulation systems and horizontal fire barriers to masonry walls.
Thermally efficient 7mm spiral shaft insulation anchors feature an extremely small cross sectional area of just 10mm2, significantly reducing cold bridging and increasing pull out performance when compared with 8mm tubular insulation anchors.
