The Benefits of Actis Insulation

Actis insulation products are renowned for their innovative design and performance. The Actis Hybrid system, which is CE marked and CE-approved, can be installed on walls, ceilings and timber floors, with impressive thermal performance. In addition to its high thermal performance, Actis Hybrid is easy to install, fast to dry, and NHBC-approved when used in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications. Read on to learn more about this innovative product.

ACTIS HControl Hybrid

The Actis HControl Hybrid insulation is a multi-layered foam-insulation system that provides dual-action vapour control and thermal performance. It is suitable for pitched roofs, ceilings, masonry walls, and suspended timber floors. Its high durability and water tightness rating enable it to work with virtually any type of insulation. The Actis Hybrid range offers high-quality products for both new and existing buildings.

Actis H Control Hybrid insulation is available in rolls of 10 m2 and a width of 1600 mm. It can be applied on top of most existing materials, ranging from rigid foam to fiberglass. Actis produces all components of the Actis H Control Hybrid insulation in-house. The company was established in 1980 and has since become one of the leaders in thin multi-foil insulation.

Actis’s unique dual assessment process ensures that its products are airtight and long-lasting. They also test all their products under real-life conditions to ensure they are effective and durable. For this reason, Actis products have been approved by the NHBC and LABSS. In addition, Actis guarantees complete airtightness for every Actis product. You can find Actis HControl Hybrid insulation in Thinsulex’s extensive range of products. You can also find other insulation brands that meet your requirements.

ACTIS TRIPLEX

ACTIS TRIPLEX insulation is the first choice of a large number of Dutch homeowners who require high-performance thermal barriers. This insulating material is certified by the SKG-IKOB as “class A”, which means that it meets or exceeds the required standards. In addition, it is completely fire-resistant and complies with the requirements for flammability. Here are some of the main benefits of this product:

TRISO TOITURE d’Actis is an integral toiture isolation system made of a complex isolant reflector of fibres and alveoles. These components work together to provide exceptional thermal insulation and sound isolation. The product offers a 50-year lifespan and is also recyclable. The product is 100% waterproof, which prevents any moisture or water from penetrating its surface. It is easy to install and will ensure the highest level of comfort.

ACTIS TRIPLEX insulation features a patented honeycomb technology that is suitable for pitched roofs, ceilings, and timber frame walls. Its high thermal resistance is a result of the sandwich construction between low-emissivity films. This innovative material is ideal for reducing energy bills and maintaining comfort and health. It also resists moulds and pests. Its versatile properties mean that it can be used for both residential and commercial properties.

ACTIS HYBRIS

Actis’ honeycomb style insulation, Hybris, has been nominated for the Structural Timber Association’s Product Innovation Award. The awards ceremony is set to take place on June 17 at the National Conference in London, where more than 500 construction industry professionals will be presented with 17 different awards for the best in timber frame construction, low energy developments and social housing. To make the judging process as smooth and seamless as possible, Actis has partnered with video production company Thinsulex to produce ‘How To’ videos to showcase the product’s many benefits.

The study looked at all thicknesses of honeycomb style insulation, from raw materials extraction, to product manufacture, packaging, transportation, installation, and end-of-life waste disposal. The results were compared to PU board and other insulation products using the INIES database. The EPD was carried out by Ecoeff, a French-based organization that conducts EPDs. Hybris was found to use about one fifth of the energy and water of its competitors, while PU board uses about two-thirds.

The Actis Hybris range includes four products that combine the benefits of thermal and acoustic insulation. They are CE marked and LABC registered and NHBC warranty-approved. They are the ideal choice for any home, business, or public building. The Actis Hybris range is available in both high-performance and low-cost options, enabling the right choice for every budget and climate. And since they have low emissivity, Actis Hybris is suitable for use in commercial buildings.

HYBRIS has an aluminium-coated polyethylene foil and honeycomb structure, making it an excellent choice for pitched roofs, ceilings, and timber frame walls. The honeycomb structure reduces heat loss through conduction and condensation, while the low-emissivity external films prevent heat from escaping. Actis HYBRIS insulation can be found in several thicknesses, ranging from 50mm to 205mm.
